The Stardust Memories Big Band is a non-profit 501(c)(3) professional jazz orchestra that plays the music of the legendary bands and band leaders, including Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Les Brown, Buddy Rich, Doc Severinsen, Stan Kenton and many others. Our musicians come from Naples, Fort Myers, Miami, Sarasota, Tampa and Orlando.

The band’s collective resume includes The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, The Buddy Rich Orchestra, The Woody Herman Orchestra, The Airmen of Note, The Jay Leno Tonight Show Band, The Chick Corea World Tour, The Si Zentner Big Band, Tower of Power, Wayne Cochran & the C.C. Riders, and Chicago. And performances with artists including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Doc Severinsen, Rod Stewart, Quincy Jones, Johnny Mathis, Nathalie Cole, Steve and Eydie Gorme, Nat King Cole, Ann Hampton Callaway, Tom Jones, Lou Rawls, Barry Manilow, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Joe Bonamassa and numerous orchestras and Broadway shows.

Mission

  • Assemble an elite musical ensemble and play this great music with the quality and energy of the original recordings
  • Support the development of young musicians from our locals schools by providing direct, financial assistance to two Lee County-based Youth Arts Charities: Music for Minors Foundation and The Music Foundation of SW Florida. These organizations provide instruments to young, aspiring musicians from economically challenged families, summer camps, and scholarships to young musicians who are pursuing musical studies at the college level.

Price: $5/per person suggested contribution
